Peak performance and being in the zone are the desires of every athlete. Yet, not knowing that the key to peak performances and the zone is finding leads to frustration, discouragement and inconsistency in performances and competition. The flow is located using the athletic mind.  It is not the result of training, coaching, pep talks or desire.  In the personal mind of every athlete is the potential for great success if an athlete knows how to tap it.

A different paradigm based on knowing your potential and using mental skills to prepare and  perform athletically can improve confidence, maximize capabilities, and increase enjoyment. With three decades of experience working with athletes, coaches, teams, and parents, I have discovered what works to achieve peak performances consistently and confidently.  My approach to sport psychology brings together my knowledge, training and especially extensive experience working with athletes in almost every sport.  I apply it all to peak performance, team dynamics, purposeful leadership, and enjoying the athletic experience using the New Success paradigm have developed.  The emphasis in this model is on success not winning, on purpose not goals, and on results not outcomes. Success is the level of results experienced compared to the level of potential for results.

This paradigm uses the Mental Essentials, which are four mental skills plus routines that athletes use to prepare for, intervene in, and then evaluate their performances. The paradigm emphasizes personal responsibility and accountability for knowing and increasing an a specific athlete's capabilities.  I teach and guide athletes in using their mental skills to open a clear path between the mind and physical skills execution. These skills are also used for learning and changing skills and increasing confidence in current skills. The same paradigm can be utilized with teams and coaches to build mental toughness and team toughness.  Not only can athletes perform at their potential but so can coaches and teams.

The New Success Paradigm can be learned and utilized through individual and team consulting with me or presentations and workshops.  If you want to have peak performances, have them consistently, and most importantly enjoy them, the New Success Paradigm can provide the information, support, and strategies to do it.  Are you ready to compete at your potential?  Contact me to see how we can work together to bring the Success Paradigm to your training, team or program or get started with the same book (order below) I use with the athletes.
